Technology

A connected floor, without the lock-in.

Your members already train with a watch on. Pulse equipment talks to it, and runs on whichever platform you choose. Not the one we’d prefer to sell you.

Platform choice

One floor. Three ways to run it.

Buying Pulse hardware doesn’t commit you to Pulse software. The platform you like today may not be the one you like in three years.

Included

TRAKK

Our own ecosystem: member app, console integration, tap-to-start login and session logging, plus an operator view that flags who’s drifting before they cancel.

Best for: amenity gyms, community leisure, medical and rehab, adaptive floors.

Partner

EGYM

Prefer theirs? Pulse cardio plugs straight into EGYM. Members tap their EGYM band at the console; results drive BioAge and Genius programming inside EGYM’s app, carrying your brand.

Best for: full-service clubs already invested in EGYM. Licensed through EGYM.

Always on

Their own apps

A tap pairs an Apple or Samsung watch to the machine. Sessions land in Apple Health, Health Connect and Strava. The member who lives by their watch never needs to know what you bought.

Best for: everyone. This layer runs underneath whichever platform you pick.

What runs on what. EGYM covers Pulse cardio. Strength runs on TRAKK: console on Premium selectorised machines, scan-to-log labels on everything else, including plate-loaded, free weights and other brands.
On the floor

What actually happens

1

Tap

Wristband, card or phone at the console. A QR label covers anything without one.

2

Train

The machine serves their plan: exercise video, range guidance, tempo.

3

Log

Weight, reps, distance, heart rate. No notebook, no phone on the handrail.

4

Prove

Every session writes to the same record, so you can show someone exactly what changed.

Nobody has to remember to do any of it.

Why it pays

Members rarely quit over the equipment.
They quit because nobody noticed.

One in three American members leaves every year, and most go quietly between months two and four. The clubs that keep them do two unglamorous things well: onboard fast, and talk to people. Both depend on knowing who is slipping.

2–4the months when most members cancel
87%still there at six months when onboarding lands in the first twelve weeks
+50%more likely to come back after a couple of staff conversations

A connected floor puts that list in front of your team every morning. They just have to make the call.

Referred, not walked in

More of them arrive on somebody else’s advice

Exercise is prescriptive. Physicians and health systems send people to a gym floor for obesity, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, cardiac rehabilitation and Parkinson’s — and a facility that can take that referral, and evidence what happened, becomes part of the care pathway instead of the place down the road.

The sharpest example right now is GLP-1. Eleven percent of American adults are on one, and roughly half of them are considering a gym. Most have never trained, and they are losing muscle along with the fat — which resistance training two or three times a week is what protects.

Referred or self-referred, the answer is the same: a strength floor somebody new can actually use, and a record of every session that a member, a trainer or a referring clinician can look at.

11%of U.S. adults on a GLP-1, up from 3% in 2024
~50%of them considering a gym membership
25–39%of the weight they lose is muscle
2–3×weekly lifting is what protects it
What you get

Built in, not bolted on

Consoles

10.1" and 18.5" Android touchscreens across Premium and Club cardio: streaming, watch pairing, screen mirroring, Strava. The 10.1" strength console adds exercise video, range-of-motion guidance and tempo coaching.

Member ID

NFC wristbands, cards, tags and decals in your branding or ours, plus the desk reader that enrols someone in about ten seconds. QR labels cover the rest of the floor.

The record

Every set, rep, distance and heart-rate figure lands in the member’s record as it happens — and in an operator view that shows who has stopped coming in.

Proof

One operator, twelve months

Walsall Leisure ran health screening, app onboarding and structured follow-up as a community programme. It worked as a membership engine.

1,600+non-members engaged

82.3%of tracked participants improved a health measure

“…digital application and community engagement creates seamless journeys from initial contact to long-term behaviour change.”

Connected equipment

Which machines are connected

Touchscreen consoles are specified on Premium and Club cardio and on Premium selectorised strength, including the inclusive range, so an accessible floor is a connected floor too.

Questions we get first

Do we have to use your software?

No. TRAKK comes with the equipment at no extra software cost, but run EGYM instead if you prefer, or let members just use their own apps. Same hardware either way.

We already run EGYM.

Then you’re most of the way there. Pulse cardio is on EGYM’s compatible list, so members tap their EGYM band at the console and the results land in BioAge and Genius. EGYM software is licensed through EGYM; we quote the equipment.

What about the machines we already own?

A QR label makes anything loggable: older Pulse units, another brand’s machines, the free-weight rack. Mixed floors still produce one clean member record.

Will it talk to our management system?

TRAKK has an open API, and EGYM’s published list already covers most U.S. platforms, including ABC Financial, Club Automation, ClubReady, Jonas, Motionsoft and PerfectGym. Tell us what you run and we’ll confirm it in writing before you buy.

What does it cost?

TRAKK software is included. You’re quoting consoles and ID media, priced in the same proposal as the floor. EGYM, if you want it, is licensed separately.
